Ocean Breeze Stables Inc. is a horse training, riding and boarding facility located in scenic Metchosin, British Columbia, Canada. Metchosin is a rural suburb of Victoria, and is located approximately 30 minutes from downtown Victoria and 20 minutes from Sooke. We strive on being a fun and relaxed stable, helping children and adults enjoy and further the bond between rider and horse. We currently offer training services, horseback riding instruction, transport, sales and purchase consultation and horse boarding opportunities. Kristina Millar, the owner and operator of Ocean Breeze Stables Inc. is a highly experienced trainer, specializing in Natural Horsemanship theory and practice. With over 25 years of training and riding experience she deals with everything from colt starting to trailering problems. Please visit the training page for more information. Riding lessons are also taught by Kristina Millar. Kristina is one of only a handful of C.H.A. (Certified Horsemanship Assocation) Clinic Instructors in Canada. She is certified by the C.H.A. as a Master Instructor with certification in Level 4 English, Level 4 Western and Level 1 Driving. Kristina has a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Victoria, and is currently teaching and further developing the Equine Studies program within the Sooke School District. Kristina is capable of teaching any discipline of riding, English or Western. From trail riding to driving, dressage to jumping, she understands the processes by which individuals learn, and can tailor a lesson to fit any student. Kristina possesses the patience and understanding which is necessary of any good instructor. Through KM Horsemanship, Kristina offers mobile training and lesson services to assist her client's at their own facilities. She makes regular visits to her client's throughout Greater Victoria and the Cowichan Valley and is happy to teach or train where both horse and rider are most comfortable.
