Ocean Breeze Stables Inc. is a small horse training, riding & boarding facility located in scenic Metchosin, British Columbia, Canada. Metchosin is a rural suburb of Victoria, and is located approximately 30 minutes from Victoria and 20 minutes from Sooke. We strive on being a fun and relaxed stable, helping children and adults enjoy and further the bond between rider and horse. We currently offer horse boarding opportunities, training and horseback riding instruction, specializing in Natural Horsemanship theory and practice. Riding lessons are taught by Kristina Millar, the owner and operator of Ocean Breeze Stables Inc. With over 15 years of riding experience Kristina has a true passion for horses and the sport of riding. Kristina is certified by the CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) as a level 3 English Riding Instructor, Level 2 Western Riding Instructor and Level 1 Driving Instructor. She also has a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Victoria, and is currently a teacher on-call in the Sooke School District. She understands the processes by which children learn, and can tailor a lesson to fit any student. Kristina also possesses the patience and understanding which is necessary of any good instructor.
